Christmas is a magical time across the country—and Minnesota is no exception. This joyous Christian holiday is a time for families and friends and much caring, sharing and giving. It’s a time of music, compassion, generosity, gratitude, twinkling lights, festivities, traditions, peace and joy.
In Minnesota, we enjoy the beauty of the season with its freshly fallen snow, glittering outdoor lights, festive music and spectacular decorations. As we skillfully drive through the well-plowed streets, we view the uplifting sentiments of the season everywhere we go.
Christmas is about giving. In Minnesota, we’re generous even with those we don’t know, so they can have a special Christmas with their families too. We shop at local malls, stores and boutiques, and we have the pleasure of shopping at the country’s largest mall—Mall of America. It’s elegantly decorated with the Christmas spirit and offers shopping, recreation, entertainment and dining for the whole family.
The winter landscape offers an opportunity to marvel at the natural beauty of the north country and take advantage of lively outdoor sports. Family and friends enjoy skating, skiing, snowboarding, ice fishing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. And later, they can gather over hot cocoa, S’mores or hot cider with laughter and tales of the day’s activities.
Christmas is a tradition to be celebrated indoors and out, at churches and in homes, with family and friends, and most of all, with good tidings to all. We’re wishing you a happy, healthy holiday filled with the magic of Christmas!
