SHOCK uses a unique formula to determine your target heart rate for each training zone. If you use a device other than an Apple Watch you can easily input data from other devices using our built-in slider scale. If you don’t have a device to monitor heart rate, the app will measure the rate of perceived exertion (RPE) to determine your effort. You’ll receive feedback based on this information to let you know if you’re on track or need to pick up the pace!
MANUAL HR TRACKING
If you use a device other than an Apple Watch to monitor your heart rate, you can easily input this data by using our built-in slider scale. Just drag the slider scale to reflect the heart-rate information on your other device, and you can see whether or not you reached your goal for that zone.
RATE OF PERCEIVED EXERTION (RPE)
If you don’t have a device to monitor your heart rate, SHOCK measures your rate of perceived exertion to determine your training effort. Based on your perceived exertion, you will receive feedback to let you know if you’re on track or need to step it up a bit!
