An edit I did for India @youleanmeup – a deaf Fitness Blogger.
Now this one hits home because my parents are deaf; I knew sign language before speaking English. So when India asked me to do some content for her, I instantly jumped at the offer.
From the fitness events that I’ve been to where India was competing, there has not been an official translator on site so I was very curious to see how she adapts to the surroundings. And she did not disappoint.
From my experience, deaf people have an increased sense of intuition and sight and when to came to changing exercises, India may have been a third of a second slower than everyone else. I actually doubted that she couldn’t hear!!
Not only is she an impressive athlete, she is an incredible individual. Being deaf had not stopped her chasing her dream and living her life to her fullest. Big up to you, India!
There is no audio for this because well, it goes without saying. So I had to make sure that the video was told visually and to give you, the viewers, an insight of what it is like working out without music.
Because this is what India does all day, every day.
