When Armani Brumfield was choosing a career path, he decided it would need to be in something he’s excited about. That’s why he’s studying sports product management in the University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business master’s program in Portland.
Brumfield grew up in Hayward, California and went on to play football for Texas Tech University, where he studied psychology.
“My path has been about learning what I don’t like and narrowing down my passions,” Brumfield said. After holding jobs at Champs Sports, LA Fitness and Chase Bank, he decided none of those were right for him and it was time to further his education in something more creative. He said he heard back within a week of applying to the Sports Product Management (SPM) program at UO Portland.
“It was like it was meant to be,” Brumfield said.
